Battleground Melbourne tells this story from the perspective of the activists and journalists who tried to save the city of Melbourne.
This is our story.
Battleground Melbourne is a story of men and women who love freedom. It’s a story of courage in the face of fear, of triumphs and failures, and ordinary people giving everything to change the course of history for the city they love.
Battleground Melbourne tells the story through the eyes of the men and women who risked it all to try and save their city. Weaving together interviews from key freedom activists and journalists, with live as-it-happened footage from on the ground, this documentary tells the world the truth of how Melbourne fell, as seen by the freedom fighters who dared to stand in the face of a tyrannical government and fight for the freedoms of themselves and their children.
Battleground Melbourne is perhaps the most important documentary of our time. Narrated by Topher Field, and including interviews with top freedom fighters and gritty, real life footage of protests and police repression, this documentary will forever stand as a snapshot of a city in crisis, and a cautionary tale for the whole world.

Great DVD, will be great for our Grandchildren to see as they get older and understand what happened during this period in history.
I have seen many bits of this in various posts.
I wanted to have this record of what happened to show my grandsons and others.
I know they won’t read a book about it but they will watch this.
One cannot ignore these images!
The DVD brought back memories that are not pleasant to re-live. It has, however, also shown footage I had no idea happened in Melbourne (I live on the Central Coast of NSW). Our mainstream media did not show most of these protests, of course.
I hope everyone will be inspired to commit civil disobedience if (or when) the time is right. I also hope someday we can see accountability for all the suffering as well as for those who were injured because of the vaccines.
Really love your book and my husband loves your book. We watch Battleground during the early part of covid, but we decided to keep a copy for our grandchildren.
When the Australian states flexed the muscles that the public didn't know they had without providing the evidence or studies to justify their actions, the public can be grateful that documentaries like Battleground Melbourne are being made. I personally lost my job as a health professional and was not allowed to continue a music degree due to the mandates and believe that it's vital that Battleground Melbourne is viewed Australia wide, and globally to provide people with a viewpoint that differs from the mainstream narrative, especially in the so-called democracies, regardless of their view on the matter.
Overall, this was a brave and important piece of work that highlighted how average Australians dug in and stood their ground to endure one of the worst abuses of power in the history of Australia and possibly the democratic world. With the way Covid was handled locally and globally, the devil was in the inconsistencies. While this documentary highlighted some of the inconsistencies well, I felt that it could have gone further by comparing the differences between the words and actions of the governments at local, state and federal levels, as well as celebrities and "influencers" on both sides. Perhaps chasing the supporters of Dan's narrative for comment might have been interesting. Comparing Australia against how other countries handled covid would have also been useful.
It was good to hear unknown songs in the soundtrack, however I felt that it could have done with an expanded repertoire.
We can only hope it won't take this level of tyranny to wake up the masses in the future.
